RESTON & HERNDON, VIRGINIA
A referral networking team serving Reston, Herndon and the surrounding Fairfax County business community.
Every Thursday, 12:00 PM to 1:30 PM. The team meets on Zoom each week, and on the first Thursday of each month it meets in person for lunch at Houlihan’s at the Dulles Crowne Plaza in Herndon.
Guests are welcome where their business category is not already represented. Call 301-260-0060 or request a free invite and we will send you the details for the next meeting.
Curt Kowalski handles introductions for this team personally. Call 301-260-0060 or request a free invite and he will put you in touch with the captain and let you know which categories are currently open.
Reston was built as a planned community and still behaves like one. Reston Town Center anchors a dense cluster of professional services, technology firms and consultancies, while the surrounding neighbourhoods support a deep base of home services, healthcare and financial professionals.
The Silver Line changed the area again, pulling in businesses that want Metro access without downtown DC costs. For a referral group that means a steady flow of new firms who need to be introduced to people they can trust.

The mix reflects the area: consultancies and technology firms alongside trades, realtors, advisers and healthcare practices serving local households. That spread is useful, because introductions can cross between the commercial and residential sides of the market.
It changed the area, certainly. Metro access pulled in businesses that previously had no reason to be there, which means more competition but also a steady supply of firms who do not yet know anyone locally. Being established in a referral group is an advantage in a market that keeps turning over.
